Our process for lifetime disease risk panels is shown above.
We are able to predict results with high accuracy and low false positive/negative rates because of our proprietary algorithms MORSE and MEW.
MORSE is our proprietary Genetic Format Conversion Software that converts sequenced genomic data (most data formats supported) into a binary format for downstream analysis by our proprietary AI diagnostic algorithm MEW. In addition to this data format versatility, MORSE is able to subset data from additional larger datasets.
MEW is our proprietary semi-supervised AI algorithm that is used to train each of our lifetime disease risk prediction models. We combine datasets containing >2,500 dogs that were diagnosed at an advanced ages and >14,000 undiagnosed dogs to train our models.
Following oral swab and extraction of DNA from the canine sequencing is performed to prepare the genetic sequencing data for MORSE. MORSE then converts the genetic sequencing data to a binary format for downstream AI-powered risk assessment using MEW.
What We Are:
We provide lifetime disease risk predictions for dogs using a simple oral swab. Our advanced machine learning models analyze your dog’s genetic data to predict whether they are likely to develop specific diseases during their natural lifetime, based on the disease panel you select.
Each disease status in each panel is classified into one of three categories:
-
At Risk – your dog is predicted to develop the disease during their natural lifetime.
-
Not at Risk – your dog is not expected to develop the disease.
-
Uncertain – available data is inconclusive for a confident prediction.
What We Are Not: We do not perform early detection. We also do not offer blood draw based testing. If our AI models identify a disease risk, this does not necessarily mean that your dog has already contracted that disease. It is important to note that our tests are for domesticated dogs only. Do NOT send swabs of other animals.
